This unique Kentucky Derby decanter by Jim Beam is dated 1969. On the front of the decanter is a horseshoe of red roses over Churchill Downs Home of the 95th Kentucky Derby. On the stopper is written Run for the Roses on one side and Churchill Downs on the other. The back has written 95th Run for the Roses over The First Kentucky DerbyWinner – Aristides – May 17, 1875. There is a picture of Aristides in the middle and red roses on each side.
This Racing Commemorative decanter stands approximately 10 ¾” tall and is 6 ½” wide at its widest point. The bottom is embossed with © Creation of James B. Beam Distilling Co. – KY-DRB-230 – Genuine Regal China – © C. Miller 1969 – 145 – Liquor Bottle – DHN. The decanter is in vibrant glossy colors throughout.
